Mahela Group is a 3rd generation, family owned agriculture company based outside the town of Letsitele, in South Africa’s Limpopo province. The group’s farming operations are spread throughout the province.

Mahela Group is one of South Africa’s biggest privately-owned citrus producers and exporters. The fruit is packed at Mahela’s state-of-the-art packhouse and exported to Russia, India and most of the countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa. The group also produces avocados, bananas, litchis and macadamias.

Mahela Group strives towards delivering its customers with fruit of the highest quality. Fruit is produced in an ethical and environmentally sustainable manner and in accordance with Global GAP requirements. Fair labour practices and the socio-economic development of rural South Africa are of special concern.

Mahela group also has interests in South Africa’s game industry where it contributes to the conservation and improvement of game species such as the African lion, the African wild dog, sable and buffalo.
